PepsiCo’s Global Office of Sustainability is committed to leading the way in providing strategy development, communication & coordination of PepsiCo’s sustainability platform. One critical enabler to meeting PepsiCo’s sustainability objectives and Performance with Purpose agenda will be the ability to provide internal teams and stakeholders intuitive analytics, dashboards, scorecards and advanced predictive analytics to drive the agenda and high quality verified data for external reporting and communication.
The Intern, Sustainability Data & Reporting will provide analytical and tactical support for all sustainability data related needs including delivery of new tools, processes and platforms to evolve capabilities in sustainability data, analytics, reporting while ensuring appropriate data governance processes are in place. The individual will also provide input to the strategy for collection, analysis, management and communication of data and metrics, ensuring data and analytics required to support PepsiCo meeting its sustainability goals are available, accessible, and insightful. This role will be accountable for leading implementation of processes and solutions related to the collection, governance, management, and strategic utilization of data across the 3 Pillars of Sustainability – Product, Planet, and People and across sectors globally. Individual will manage multiple types of data and data sources (e.g. product nutritional information, energy, greenhouse gases, water, waste, transportation, packaging, diversity, etc.) and communication of data in metrics performance reports for internal use and utilization in external sustainability reporting such as the GRI, CDP, CSR reports. Individual will collaborate with numerous employees and teams globally leading initiatives driving PepsiCo’s Performance with Purpose agenda.
Project manage key areas of the Sustainability Data Transformation Roadmap focused on implementation of data analytics, data integrity, and reporting related technology and governance solutions to deliver PepsiCo 2025 Sustainability agenda.
Lead elements of the strategic development and execution of enhanced data governance standards for PepsiCo Sustainability Data including elements such as data sharing agreements, certification hierarchy, etc.
Compile and validate data metrics performance reports for internal use and utilization in external sustainability reporting such as the GRI, CDP, CSR reports.
Support delivery of intuitive analytics dashboards, scorecards, and exception reporting that empower the global organization to easily explore and access information required and desired.
Support development of advance analytics capabilities around sustainability by leveraging best in class practices and cutting edge technologies to look ahead and analyze the future of sustainability with our business.
Assist in deploying change management tools to support the Data Transformation Roadmap delivery and help ensure smooth transitions.
Build strong relationships with sustainability teams based in sectors globally, PepsiCo Foundation, R&D/portfolio transformation teams, and others implementing sustainability globally to ensure user requirements for internal business intelligence and external reporting are being met.

Skills and Experience:
MBA or Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related fields
3 - 5 years of progressive responsibility in project management or roles with analytical focus.
Highly proficient in MS Office skills and statistical analysis; advanced knowledge of Excel .
Demonstrated, strong understanding of sustainability reporting desired.
Experience in sustainability or related field and sustainability tracking tools such as Enablon, Thinkstep, GABI, EcoDesk, a plus
Experience with data modeling, statistical programming languages such as R, Python, Database querying languages such as Oracle/SQL/Teradata, predictive analysis techniques and tools such as SAS, SPSS, R and data visualization and communication tools (such as Tableau, D3,js) desired
Previous experience in a fast paced environment desired; previous experience in a CPG company a plus
Willingness to travel ~10-20% of time
