Ralph Bunche

Ralph Bunche is the Center’s Deputy Director, bringing over two decades of experience in business accountability, international human rights, and organizational leadership to its work. As a U.S. secondee to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, he led rule of law programming in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Between 2018 and 2023 he served three terms as General Secretary of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization helping transform its structure, focus, and impact, advancing minority and indigenous peoples’ rights in the context of economic development, business and supply chains. A lawyer by profession, Ralph practiced at international firms representing governments, multinational corporations and small and medium enterprises on business accountability matters in the financial services and manufacturing sectors. He spent a year in-house advising Liberia’s Minister of Finance on foreign investment concessions and the elimination of privately-held external debt.
