Feedback on the European Commission’s Digital Fairness Act
October 2025
The Working Group on Gaming and Regulation welcomes the European Commission’s Digital Fairness Act initiative. We fully support efforts to enhance fairness and transparency in the digital environment.
However, we emphasize that the focus should be on updating and clarifying existing rules, closing identified regulatory gaps, and ensuring consistent and effective enforcement across Member States. Adding new layers of regulation risks creating unnecessary complexity without improving outcomes for consumers or businesses.
Our position advocates for a clear, streamlined, and harmonized approach that strengthens the internal market and supports responsible digital innovation.
This feedback was submitted as part of the European Commission’s public consultation process on the Digital Fairness Act.
